I have a 2021 Ford F-150 XLT, 3.5L V6 EcoBoost with the 10-speed transmission and Max tow package. I have been towing a 23 ft. travel trailer through the Sierra Nevada mountains on some very hilly and winding roads. When using the tow mode feature the engine braking has been slowing me down like it should or sometimes a little too much. When I reach the bottom of a hill and want to accelerate to get up the next hill the engine braking will not disengage and I cannot accelerate until I get to a level spot in the road,
which does not happen very often. I have tried pressing on the accelerator and all it does is increase the RPM and not increase the speed. It would seem that when you press the accelerator it should disengage the engine braking system. Can anyone tell me if they've experienced the same issue or if there's something that I am not doing correctly.

I've found that it does not disengage immediately on touching the gas, need a certain amount of throttle input which will not work for you in this situation best I've found is to go into manual (but that might change you down another gear). Wish there was a way to just turn off the engine braking when not needed.
