Ford has filed a trademark application with the USPTO for the name "SPLASH". According to their application it's for use with "Motor vehicles, namely, automobiles, pick-up trucks, electric vehicles, sport utility vehicles, off-road vehicles, and their structural parts; vehicle equipment package consisting of wheels, exterior body parts and seats".
Ford offered a sportier version of the Ranger in the 90s with lowered suspension, a flareside bed, body-colored bumpers and a bold graphics package.
Could Ford do something similar with the F-105 or any of their other trucks? Or could this be a new off-road and/or water fording package for their vehicles?
