400 watts is about 3 amps at 120 volts, a recip saw is probably about 12 amps. Best option is likely cordless tools & the 400 watts might be enough to charge batteries.

Inverter usage
I have the 400W inverter on my truck. I looked online to find how/what it can be used for and am finding nothing. I tried the box outlet to use it for a project and it was not up to the task (it won't power a sawzall). What is the largest draw item that you have successfully used it for? Is there pointers/videos online to help understand how to get the most out of it?
