Ford sent out a bunch of information to their dealers and in it they mentioned that all F-150's will have a standard embedded modem so that the F-150 is the only full size pickup to offer standard OTAs.
An example of an OTA update they they used was updating engine calibration to improve fuel economy or increase engine durability.
I've heard of Tesla offering OTA updates to improve range but this is the first time I've heard that it could be done with a gas powered motor. That's pretty incredible stuff.
